A Movie About Avoiding the Singularity Meltdown.

This movie could easily star Keanu Reeves. If we can barely unplug from our iPhones, how much more difficult would it be to unplug from super AI's? The movie, still in production, called I's, is a perfect feature film depicting this dark scenario. Check out the trailer below.

Nano Ontario Conference 2012

Nano Ontario is hosting the 3rd Annual Nano Ontario Conference, at the University of Waterloo, Ontario's new Quantum-Nano Building on October 11-12, 2012. All of this was made indirectly possible by the makers of the Blackberry. Nano Ontario aims to map and focus the emerging nanotech sector in the region. Deadline for registration is Friday, September 28th, 2012. The brand new Quantum Nano building in Waterloo lies just outside the Toronto area and is shaping up to be a focal point for all things Nano in the greater region. It is paramount that participants excercise great caution in the use of these technologies and our ecosystem in the region and beyond. The rising quantum nano bio sector of Guelph, Waterloo and area lies in the greater Toronto Green Belt area and is home to a growing fusion of agriculture, green space, and cutting edge technologies and boasts among the highest standards of living on the planet. This conference is open to all.

nanolinks, the good, the bad and the ugly

Here are some links on nanotechnology. Some of these breakthroughs could be used for good, or for bad, whether deliberately or accidentally. Now more than ever before, as we reach the so-called 'Singularity', we must be extremely cautious. For Cancer, sometimes Aluminum-free Baking Soda and Organic Molasses work best. Say it ain't so!

Check out the growing and evolving nanohazard symbols. There are so many to choose from, however there is nothing official yet as there are so many possibilites. And that's a sad sign of the times.
