Nanotechnology Perception Study: Do we differ in our 'gut feelings' about being prepared in regulating nanotechnology?

Were we prepared in the regulation of DDT in the past? Was Rachel Carson a Chicken Little? Was the world ready to regulate atomic technology during the collapse of the Soviet Bloc? Did we truly regulate plastics? Are not the ocean plastic and garbage areas not proof of mis-regulation of industrial societies? Is the precautionary principle an ever-growing principle to be ignored by regulators? Does greed outweigh reason? The following study was done in order to analyze different people's thoughts on 'novel' technologies.
